Worship Services

Sundays
9:00am
The early liturgy is a quiet service using the older Book of Common Prayer.  We use Morning Prayer on the first Sunday of each month and celebrate communion the other weeks.  Worshippers are invited to come to the upper communion rail and receive the Lord’s Supper.

10:30am
The later service is a Eucharist from the newer Book of Alternative Service.  It includes hymns, choir, organ, a children’s story, nursery and Sunday School for children and youth.  Worshippers are welcome to receive communion from the upper rail or from a communion station near the baptismal font (in the front right corner).  Clergy offer anointing and laying on of hands during communion on the 1st Sunday of each month and Lay Readers offer pastoral prayers for individuals after each service, if they wish. After the 10:30 service, all are invited for a time of refreshments and fellowship in the parish hall, accessible through the passageway near the organ (in the front left corner).

Summer 9:30am
The two Sunday services are usually combined into one during the months of July and August.  We alternate between the Book of Alternative Services and the Book of Common Prayer.

Wednesdays            7:30am
An abbreviated eucharist service happens each Wednesday morning during the academic year.  It is geared towards the Queen’s community, includes a wide range of speakers and is followed by a breakfast in the Parish Hall.  Participants can grab a quick bite and still make it to 8:30 classes.

Thursdays            12 noon -1:00pm
We meet in the parish hall for a brief eucharist, bible study and lunch

Special Services
We gather for evening worship on the First Sunday of Advent, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday, Over noon-hour on Ash Wednesday and in the morning on Christmas Day and Good Friday.

Prayer Groups:
For many years a dedicated group of women have met in the Rogers Room on Monday mornings at 10:00 to intercede for our community.  Another prayer group gathers in the upstairs Nursery School Room on Sundays at 9:00am

Reserved Sacrament:
We extend our worship to those unable to be with us.  Consecrated bread and wine from the Sunday Eucharists are taken to shut-ins by Licensed Eucharistic Ministers (both Lay and Ordained).
