Sunday School

At St. James’, ministry to children is a high priority!

We are blessed with a large number of children at St. James. After participating in a children’s story and song in our 10:30 service, children go to the parish hall for their Sunday school time.  They return to the main liturgy in time to receive communion (or a blessing).  They meet in the parish hall and its many alcoves.

The Sunday School has two classes that run every Sunday morning. Children who are in JK or Kindergarten are invited to our early childhood class and children from grades 1-3 are in our elementary class.

Our Sunday school is staffed by a committed team of parents and other teachers.  Each Sunday, we invite our children to explore the Bible stories through verses, songs and stories.  We also invite our children to enter into the worshiping life of the St. James’ community through many special events and services.  Join us for our children’s Christmas Lessons and Carols service; our annual Christmas pageant, our Shrove Tuesday Carnival; our Good Friday Children’s liturgy and summer Church picnic!
