The Reverend Sue Beare

Honourary Associate Priest

“I am a lifelong learner and spiritual seeker who has read widely and worked with spiritual leaders from the world’s religions and spiritualities.  Being a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and having worked as a chaplain with Correctional Services Canada has broadened my mind and stretched my soul’s growth.  The healing of moral injury is an example of my journeying with others.

Since studying commercial art in high school I am an enthusiastic dabbler, open beginner, and happy amateur using all different kinds of art supplies: calligraphy ink, acrylic paint, watercolour, scratch board etching, pysanka egg dyeing, wood burning, felt pen, crayon, colour pencil, charcoal, graphite, pastel, church banners, posters, felting, embroidery, and petit point.”

Thank you.

Territorial Acknowledgement

The St. James community acknowledges the traditional territory upon which we gather. For many thousands of years the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron Wendat peoples have sought to walk gently on this land. We seek a new relationship with the Original Peoples of this land, one based in honour and deep respect.
